The condition of the coal pillars remained in room-and-pillar gobs is complicated. stresses loaded on pillar floor may be transmitted and overlapped. It changes stress environment lower seam roof, leading abnormal periodic weighting. In procedure 3?1 mining Huoluowan Coal Mine, ground high while working face passing through room overlying 2?2, to hydraulic shield being broken. this paper, theoretical analysis, numerical calculation, similar material simulation were used analyse effect close-distanced upper seam. transfer model was established for distribution underlying strata obtained based analysis. joint action dynamic pressure stress-coal with movement rock under revealed. results showed that horizontal vertical large gob 2?2 high, from 9.7 15.3 MPa. influencing depth ranged 42 m 58 m. 10 23 range shear 25 50 When mined below 20 or m, abutment relatively high. concentration coefficient reached 4.44–5.00. induced by seams, instability inverted trapezoid above pillar, collapsing roof. studying beneficial guiding safety Mine.
